Kevin Baer and Chris Yanney are the managing members and owners of CKC Capital. They have known each other since 1997 and have worked together on 3 separate occasions prior to CKC. Together they launched CKC Capital on March 1, 2013.
Kevin (KC) Baer has over 25 years of experience in the fixed income and equity markets including nine years trading high yield, distressed, and investment grade bonds at Bank of America, three years trading high yield bonds and CDS at Barclays, and one year trading high yield bonds and CDS at Citigroup. At Barclays, he was Head of High Yield Trading in 2008. In addition, Baer was a co-portfolio manager at Rosedale Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund from 2004-2006. Prior to joining Bank of America, Baer graduated from the Fuqua School of Business and spent three years on the mortgage desk at Tucker Anthony. He graduated from Duke University in 1990 with a BA in Economics and played varsity golf.
Christopher Yanney has over 20 years of experience in the credit markets with seven years as a desk head and manager. From 2006 – 2012 he was the Head of High Yield Trading at Barclays, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup. Prior to that, Yanney spent one year at Delaware Asset Management as the Head of Emerging Markets Debt and Equity. Prior to Delaware, Yanney was a senior high yield trader at Goldman Sachs for five years. Before Goldman Sachs, Yanney spent one year as a high yield trader at Conseco Capital and two years at Bank of America as an investment grade and crossover bond trader. He graduated from MIT in 1997 with a BS in Finance and played varsity football.
