John Baer started his Wall Street career in 1965 as a stockbroker at Burnham & Company and then at Gruntal & Company. In 1980, John joined Tucker Anthony as a Senior Vice President, managing portfolios and transactional business for middle market institutions and professional investors. In 1997, he joined Cowen & Co. as a Senior Vice President and later joined CIBC World Markets in 1998 as a Senior Vice President. From July 2002 through April 2003, John was Portfolio Manager of Ivory Capital's Opportunity Fund, a long/short equity hedge fund. John launched Rosedale Capital in April 2003.
